Centrifugal slurry pumps are prone to cavitation. When the feeding liquid level is low or pipeline resistance is excessive, the medium pressure at the impeller inlet drops below the vaporization pressure, generating massive bubbles in the slurry. After the bubbles flow into the high-pressure area with the slurry, they collapse instantly, producing high-frequency impact force that continuously scours wetted parts, resulting in pits and holes on metal surfaces, accompanied by vibration, noise and reduced flow rate and head.
This centrifugal slurry pump optimizes the curve of the impeller inlet flow channel, expands the inlet diameter and reduces the required net positive suction head (NPSHr). Equipped with an auxiliary impeller pressure stabilizing structure, it buffers negative pressure caused by liquid level fluctuation. On-site operators can further avoid cavitation and stabilize pump performance by raising the tank liquid level, shortening suction pipelines and reducing elbows and valves.
