In a desulfurization system, the primary tasks of the desulfurization pump are:

Circulation and Conveyance

Continuously pressurizing the limestone (CaCO₃) slurry at the bottom of the absorption tower and conveying it to the spray layer at the top of the tower.

Chemical Reaction

The atomized slurry comes into counter-current contact with sulfur-containing flue gas (SO₂), triggering a chemical reaction that converts gaseous sulfur into solid gypsum (CaSO₄), thereby purifying the flue gas.

Continuous Operation

Ensuring the continuous circulation of the slurry within the tower to guarantee efficient and stable desulfurization reactions.
