Key Points For Selecting Mining Slurry Pumps

Confirm flow rate and total head first: Confirm accurate flow rate and total head, including actual vertical lift and pipeline resistance loss. Reasonable parameter matching is the basis of efficient pump selection, which effectively avoids low conveying efficiency, long-term overload operation and accelerated wear of vulnerable parts.

Match overflow material correctly: High-chromium alloy material is suitable for coarse, hard and sharp mineral particles, featuring high hardness and strong impact resistance. Rubber liner applies to fine particles and slightly corrosive slurry, with good toughness, low operating noise and excellent anti-cavitation performance.

Control reasonable operating speed : The wear degree of the pump is positively related to the rotating speed. For heavy abrasive working conditions, low-speed operation is preferred to reduce particle scouring and prolong service life. Medium and high speed can be adopted for fine and low-abrasion slurry to ensure stable conveying efficiency.

Avoid cavitation damage: Always ensure the on-site device NPSH is higher than the pump required NPSH. This can effectively prevent cavitation, empty pumping and flow fluctuation, protecting the impeller and pump body from structural damage.
