Precautions for Gravel Pumps

When using a gravel pump, attention must be paid to power supply and voltage control. Before the first startup, check the integrity of the power cord and plug, ensure the motor insulation resistance is greater than 2 megohms, control the voltage fluctuation range within +5% to -12% of the rated value, and install a leakage protector and grounding device to prevent electric shock.

Regarding operating standards, the pump must be filled with water or a water tank before startup to avoid dry running wear. When stopping, close the inlet valve before cutting off the power; if the medium contains large particles, a filter device should be installed to reduce the risk of pump wear.

Concerning environment and maintenance, if the ambient temperature is below 40°C, antifreeze should be added to prevent the pump from freezing. During long-term idle periods, parts should be cleaned and coated with anti-rust oil, and stored in a dry and ventilated place.
